It's safe to say that just about everyone who has been involved in some type of bible study
has heard of the Trinity. The most common trend taught on the Trinity belief comes from two perspectives: One
is that Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are all one in the same being, while the other suggests that they are
separate beings, but there is a God head, a lesser God, and a Spirit that each uses, but all three are united
as one to form a Triune God. Opinions on this subject vary because there is a wide spread belief that the
Trinity is a fact that cannot be argued against.
Well, that isn't so. The belief in the Trinity can very well be argued against and proven to be a false belief.
While the scholars and historical religions may seem to use sound bible based material, there are people like
me who insist that the whole scheme of a Trinity is invalid when it comes to real bible truth. In other words,
it simply doesn't exist and this can be proven through bible facts.
The Trinity belief comes from many different bible verses, with one like this as a basic start.
For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 John 5:7 |
Most every Christian knows that Jesus is the Son of God and they never question it. They also know
that he is not God either. But now days it's hard for a Christian to say such a thing because
of out spoken people drowning them out and the on going events of long standing religions such as
the Catholic, who claim Mary gave birth to God. Hence the phrase Holy Mary, Mother of God.
Some preachers like Jack Van Impe, is one such person who openly and publicly discredit any person
who believes that Jesus is just the Son of God and not God himself. He has gone as far as condemning
authors who have written news articles or others that become published making any claim that Jesus is
the Son of God.
Others that publicly teach this include just about all of the television evangelists. In turn, local
preachers who don't want to appear to be out of the "know" teach the very same thing. The result is world
wide belief with fewer and fewer standing up against it. The plus side of preachers speaking such things, is
that it is limited to mostly religious people and church goers because most of the common populace don't
agree that Jesus is God.
So, this segment is dedicated to those who believe in the Trinity in hopes they will understand what's wrong
about it.
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. Job 1:6 |
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 |
Jesus isn't the only son God has, the bible is very clear about that. He is however, the only one that was born
to a woman on earth. Both of those scriptures tell us that.
Going with them alone we can see that God is not Triune or limited to only one son. By itself, it is easy to see
the Trinity God doesn't exist.
Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, and said: "By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord ... Gen 22:15-16 |
God cannot swear by anyone else because he claims there is no one in charge except him. If Jesus was part of being
in charge, then God would have mentioned his other partners long before Jesus ever came to earth. He didn't.
John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne. Rev 1:4 |
And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. Rev 4:5 |
In those two verses we can see that God has seven spirits that are before
him and they are also of him. So why haven't people said God is seven power god instead of a three power god?
Seven is larger than three isn't it? Yes it is. So we can conclude on those verses that there is no Triune God
in heaven. Think about it, if you now add Jesus and the Holy Spirit to the list you get eight or nine depending
on how you add, not three.
Now look at something that constantly goes unspoken;
For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. 1 John 5:7 |
The 1 John 5:7 verse that I just quoted is not in the original scriptures. It was added when it was being
translated because people wanted to promote religion and not fact. The Catholic religion had many of the original
scrolls and so when it came time for translation and putting them in a bible, that verse was added.
Here's what the verse should say because as knowledge has grown, so has the elimination of some long standing
religious views that do not stand up to what was written.
And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth. 1 John 5:7
|
As you can see, no where in the bible does it say God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one. This scripture is
written as it was long ago, it was religion that changed it. Bearing witness is not the same as one being in
power. What they do is form a union and keep a record of everything that's going on so when the Day of
Judgment comes they will be able to testify against all the ones who are not chosen. They are bearing witness,
and that is all that John said.
People can twist scripture around to say what they want when they are pushing a subject onto someone, but sooner
or later the truth will come out and the one being pushed will usually walk away. This next scripture is used
by some to convey the thought the bible tells us God and Jesus are one, but if you understand it correctly you can
see it doesn't say that at all.
yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him. 1 Cor 8:6 |
There is one God of whom are all things. That means that God created all things and we owe it to him to be grateful or angry, which every we feel, to address our lives. One Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things doesn't mean Jesus made everything, it means through him we have been requested to place our communication and faith in God through. For example, we pray to God, but through faith in Jesus. So, all the things we have or need in our lives should come through faith in Jesus, and not so much as faith in God. But it will be God who delivers.
And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. John 16:23
While that scriptures pertains to prayers after Jesus returns, it points out that faith in him will be rewarded
by the actions of God. If Jesus was God, don't you think he would have said he would give us what we ask for instead
of saying God would do it? Once again, this is a scripture that shows a distinct difference between God and Jesus.
One God, one lord, two separate entities.
Another thing used by preachers and religions to make the claim that Jesus is God is found in the first part of
the book of John.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 |
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 |
I get so tired of preachers and evangelists claiming that since Jesus is the word and the word is God, that Jesus
is also God. Again, not so.
Take a close look at what follows the phrase, "and the word became flesh and dwelt among us." It says they beheld
his glory as the only begotten of the Father, it does not say they beheld the glory of the Father. People leave this
out most of time they are trying to say the word, God, and Jesus are one in the same.
The word is God because only God has created all things, therefore, the word is
God and none other. The interesting thing about the use of the word "word" in this verse is that
it also means thought. Therefore, there are a number of ways this sentence could be written
by simply replacing the word "word" with thought. For example, and the thought became flesh and dwelt among us.
In verse two, the subject has changed and is now explaining that the word was with God in the beginning. Notice
that it does not say that God was with God. It's clearly saying that the word was "with God," meaning that God was
not alone.
The same was in the beginning with God. John 1:2 |
All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made. John 1:3 |
If we heard the phrase that God was with God, who would suspect there was another being? No one. Therefore the phrase
has been expanded to show there is another being with God, and was there since the creation of the earth.
That is not secret, Jesus claimed he was here before Abraham, the bible claims God had many sons present when he
created the earth and universe, and the bible claims God said "let us" make man in our image.
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was born, I am. John 8:58 |
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? .... When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy? Job 38:4 & 7 |
And God said, Let us make man in our image, Gen 1:26 |
Again, there's no suggestion that God is a Triune God or that a Trinity or trio exists in heaven and are running things here on earth. Among other improper uses of scripture is one Isaiah spoke as a prophecy.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Is 9:6 |
Like many other scriptures that have words that share different meanings, the words
Mighty God has other meanings besides mighty god, it also means "mighty man."
Jesus was born a man, which by the way, this scripture also points out that a child will be born.
A child that grows up to be a man, a mighty man at that.
That scripture is probably the most widely used one to say that it means that Jesus is also God, but like so
many other scriptures in use, it goes unfinished in meaning and leaves out the rest of the intention behind it.
Here's what follows:
Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this. Is 9:7 |
God is zealous over being able to bring a plan of salvation to mankind and this scripture merely points that out. It doesn't say God will be sending himself into the world to be born as a child, it says a son is given. This son was with God when he created the earth and mankind, he was one of the many son's that God has and it was him that chose to come to earth and become a human being for all of us to see, whereas we cannot see God because he is a spirit. God even gave for knowledge about Jesus coming when Moses was here.
I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. De 18:18-19 |
To which Jesus also refered to himself as a prophet.
So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house." Mat 13:57 |
Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem. Luke 13:33 |
And so the word of God became flesh, and dwelt among us as a final prophet who was also the son of God.
The word is nothing more than Gods promise of salvation to mankind. Jesus spoke what he was commanded to speak,
and never once claimed that he was God. It is people and false teachers who make that claim.
Now for the Holy spirit. God has seven spirits that sit in front of his throne.
And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. ... which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Rev 4:5, 5:6 |
Which one of these seven spirits is the Holy Spirit? If God has seven spirits and he has sent all of them out into
the world by way of Christ, then which one single spirit is the Holy Spirit?
When Jesus was here he was able to be seen by every person who had the ability to seek him out. But Jesus knew he
was going to leave and be gone for a long time. If there was no one here for people to see, then it wouldn't be long
before believing in Jesus would fall to the wayside. Therefore, Jesus said if he leaves, he will send a spirit
to earth that will teach us and comfort us. The comfort of course is just knowledge about the hope of there being
a solution to our dying and the possibility of living in a peaceful world at some point of time in the future.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you. John 16:7 |
I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father. Rev 16:28 |
To those who have been trained to believe that God came to born of a woman, that verse clearly says Jesus came
from God, but does not say that he was God. The best way I can explain how the Holy spirit works is this; the spirit
can cover the earth and go inside of people by way of thoughts. Then, when a person hears a message from God they
can see it in a way that leads them to understand it. Jesus is no longer here, and so believing in him would be
more difficult if it wasn't for the guidance of the words written in the bible and the Holy Spirit showing the
meaning.
The Holy Spirit that came after Jesus left is not an all powerful spirit, it seems to be limited in power to knowledge
and understanding. You might say it is a mini spirit compared to God almighty.
The opposite of the Holy Spirit would be the Satan and the spirit of the antichrist, where they teach the
will of Satan. Which means, it is by spirit we learn about all things, be it by the spirit of God or by the
spirit of Satan.
So, as you can tell, the Trinity or a Triune God doesn't exist and there are no scriptures in the bible to
support it. There are three witnesses, but many more in heaven than just the three. Jesus is not God, he is his
son. God did not come down and die on the cross, his son did. When Jesus left he left the Holy Spirit behind to
comfort us, he didn't take it with him. It communicates between us and God and that is how they work as one, but
they are three separate entities witnessing for the place we call home.
The Trinity belief does fit into Satan's plan and matches the three frogs found in the book of Revelation.
And I saw [coming] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, as it were frogs: Rev 16:13 |
These three spirits make up a Trinity or Trio that is dead set to deceive the world. By convincing the world, or those who are willing to listen, they can twist scripture to the unknowing and convince them that the Trinity, or a Triune God exists. This takes away worship meant for God and places in the hands of Satan.
| 1. | out of the mouth of the dragon |
| 2. | the mouth of the beast |
| 3. | the false prophet |
God is singular, not plural. Jesus is singular, not plural. The holy spirit is singular,
not plural. Yet we baptize in the name of the father, son, and holy spirit. This is because our spirit comes
from God, our salvation comes from Jesus, and our knowledge of all of this comes by way of the holy spirit.
These three are not one in the same being but it is being taught that way and has been taught that way for
years. Don't listen to people who teach it.
Satan is singular, the beast is singular, the false prophet is singular. Why is it that people can recognize
this but cannot recognize God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as singular beings?
Good |
Evil |
| 1. God, the creator. | 1. Satan, the fallen one. |
| 2. Jesus, future ruler of the world. | 2. The Beast, past ruler of this world |
| 3. Holy Spirit, the comforter and teacher. | 3. False Prophet, impersonator of Jesus and the holy spirit |
This subject is not hard for the average person to understand. What's hard is the ones who have been raised in a church or around people who never questioned the truth. If you're one of those and don't understand the differences between God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, then here's some interesting comparisons that will show you just how close Satan follows after God.
The Spirit of God |
The Spirit of the Antichrist |
| 1. God, is above all things and has handed down his power to allow Jesus to take up his power to save mankind. | 1. Satan, will proclaim to be above all, but handed down his power to allow the beast to use his power to deceive mankind. |
| 2. Jesus, is coming back to set up his kingdom so that he can rule the world. | 2. The Beast, is making a comeback in the future so that it can rule the world. |
| 3. Holy Spirit, teaches about God, Jesus, and itself and offers comfort to the souls of Gods children and seeks to convert all to believing in God. | 3. False Prophet, teaches about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and offers comfort to the souls of Satans children but seeks to convert all to believing in him. |
| 4. These three agree as though they were one. | 4. These three want you to believe they are one. |
| 5. The real Jesus wants you to know he was resurrected in his original physical body. | 5. The false Jesus wants you to believe he was resurrected to a spiritual body. |
Yes, Satan wants you to believe in the Trinity or a Triune God, but Jesus just wants you to believe in the one God.
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. John 5:24 |
The more you learn, the more you will know. Pass it on.
